LUCERO

Last Friday we climbed the Lucero and with this climb we have climbed the four highest mountains of the natural park ´´Sierra Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama´´: Maroma, Navachica, Lucero y Cielo. Whatever mountains we may climb througout the year, we always try to climb these four mountains.

CERRO BEAS BY BIKE

Last week we went to Cerro Beas by bike. This is near Vélez-Málaga. We didn´t make any pictures, but we decided to show you this picture of the Beas with the Maroma, which has snow on its top, in the background.

VIA FERRATA IN COMARES

Friday May 14th we went to Comares and we participated in an activity which was organized by the city council. The activity was carried out by GD aventura, a company which organizes outdoor activities in Vélez-Málaga. We did a ´via ferrata´, tyroline and we climbed.

ROUTE BY BIKE

This week we went to Benamocarra and the area around Cerro Encina by bike.

THE ROUTE TO BENTOMIZ BY BIKE

Last week we went to Castillo de Bentomiz by bike. We haven´t gone up to Bentomiz for several years now, because the route is difficult. You have to climb 8 kilometres combined with a high slope. Not everybody makes it to the top without getting off the bike.

LONG DISTANCE RACE IN VELEZ-MALAGA

Friday May 7th the tenth edition of the Long Distance Race in Vélez-Málaga, organized by Juan Pedro Pareja from IES Salvador Rueda, took place. This year 3 more schools were invited to the Race, bringing the total to an amount of 7 schools that participated. There were 1.600 runners. Our students of the TECO helped the organisation, indicating in what direction the students were supposed to go.

This week we went hiking in the Sierra Almijara. We left from La Resinera and we slept in La Monticana (thanks to Isabel, Marcos and Vicente). The next day we climbed the Navachica and we went down and arrived in Nerja. We saw a golden eagle, a booted eagle, an ocellated lizard, squirrels, goates and......deers!
